In 1965 Bruce & Ardelle Watkins bought Gusto Distributing. She was active in the business, stocking shelves, loading product, and running Gusto of Havre for 30 years before returning to leadership in Gusto of Great Falls. Ardelle had a strong passion for wine, creating a vast and diverse wine book for Gusto Distributing. Her trailblazing attitude was what set Ardelle apart, shattering glass ceilings for what it meant to be a woman in beer. Without Ardelle, and others like her, the landscape of the beer business would be much different. Beer is better because of Ardelle Watkins. God Rest Her Soul (Aug. 20, 1940 – Dec. 30 2024)
